Who can apply?

The Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 5 is perfect for two types of people:

  • Current Teaching Assistants: If you're currently working as a TA and ready to specialise further, this apprenticeship offers the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and become a specialist in either Special Educational Needs (SEND), Social & Emotional Wellbeing or Curriculum Provision.

  • Returning Teaching Assistants: If you have over a year of experience as a teaching assistant but are not currently in a TA role, apply for this programme and we’ll support you in securing a new TA position.
