Unfortunately, it is a Department for Education requirement that all Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) participants have a Level 6 undergraduate degree in any subject.
Whilst you are not eligible for EYITT, we do have 5 other early years programmes which you might be eligible for:
The Early Years Educator Level 2 apprenticeship has been developed by our Early Years experts for those wanting to enter a career as a Nursery Practitioner, Classroom Assistant or Pre-school Practitioner.
The Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) Apprenticeship is ideal for someone looking to pursue a career as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Teaching Assistant, Nursery Nurse, Supervisor, or Child Minder.
The Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner (EYLP) Apprenticeship is ideal for highly skilled professionals who take an operational lead for the care, learning and development of all young children within their care.
In partnership with Teach First, NPQEYL participants develop expertise in the knowledge, skills and concepts for leading an Early Years setting.
Qualification for Level 3 practitioners in a private, voluntary or independent setting. It is also appropriate for Ofsted-registered childminders.
