Early Years Teacher at Jubilee Gems and a winner of the
National Early Years Teacher of the Year Award 2024
National Early Years Teacher of the Year Awards are a recognition of exceptional practitioners, who go above and beyond to make every child thrive and set an example in their setting. Today we're celebrating Laura Cadmore from Jubilee Gems in Padworth, Berkshire.

Laura has been with Jubilee Gems since 2019, beginning her journey as our Early Years Teacher within the pre-school. She has quickly become an integral part of the Gems team, moving up to Early Years Teacher and Development Manager.
Her commitment to the highest standards shines through in everything she does. She cares deeply about each child's progress and fosters a nurturing environment that allows them to thrive. As we hear from Mr Collins, Laura's enthusiasm is contagious, inspiring all staff members to continuously improve their practice.
It showed through her nominations that Laura is a wealth of knowledge and a constant source of support. She offers a listening ear, insightful guidance and exceptional training opportunities to her colleagues. The children flourish under her curriculum implementation, enjoying a dynamic and engaging learning experience.
"Laura's influence extends far beyond the classroom. She has completely revitalised our nursery, creating a unique space where both children and staff can explore their interests and discover hidden talents. Thanks to Laura's guidance, Jubilee Gems has become a place where everyone feels passionate about their work and supported in their personal growth.", said Mr Collins.
One of Laura's key contributions has been the introduction of the Hygge philosophy. This approach has fostered a calm and welcoming atmosphere, reducing stress for both children and staff. Laura's dedication extends beyond her professional duties. She is a genuinely kind and compassionate person, always willing to go the extra mile for her colleagues.
