Partner Spotlight: The Education People

Partner Spotlight: The Education People

Every month we showcase one of our delivery partners who help us develop, deliver and facilitate our programmes across the country. This month, we caught up with The Education People!

Tell us a little bit about yourselves

The team is based in the delightful seaside town of Whitstable and we cover the whole of Kent.

We hold the majority of our training at Lower Grange Farm which is on a beautiful countryside site in Maidstone. We also hold training at Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce which is located in Ashford.  Both venues offer excellent facilities and are easily accessible from the main transport links.  The refreshments offered at the venues were a key decision maker in choosing where to hold our training and are not to be missed!

Why did you choose Best Practice Network?

We chose to work with Best Practice Network because we feel they offer an excellent menu of high-quality CPD and qualifications that enable us to provide valuable training to our teachers in Kent and beyond.

We are now entering our third year of working with Best Practice Network and have built up very good working relationships with them.  BPN are constantly looking to improve their services and we are continually consulted and asked for suggestions on how they can achieve even better.  This is exactly what we are about and enjoy being in this working culture as we feel it underpins our mission to support schools and settings to improve learning, well-being and children’s development. We feel we can achieve this by offering excellent development opportunities to schools and settings that really meet their needs.

Building on your existing longstanding relationship with schools in Kent, what can you offer teachers in your region?

We can offer the full ‘Golden thread’ menu of professional qualifications for support staff through to executive heads.  These programmes include Teaching Assistant (TA) Level 3, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Status, Diploma for School Business Managers (DSBM), Initial Teacher Training (ITT), Early Career Framework (ECF) and Specialist and Leadership National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).

Why should schools choose The Education People for their staff development?

Schools should choose The Education People for their staff development because we have over 40 years of experience in successfully supporting tens of thousands of teachers in their careers.

Being one of the largest Appropriate Bodies for many years across the country has helped us build excellent relationships with schools and we feel the move into offering valued training programmes for staff and teachers across all levels in schools will be welcomed by many of our existing customers.  We can offer experienced and knowledgeable trainers who really want to support teachers and staff to have a successful and rewarding career in teaching.

All of our team are friendly and approachable and have teachers and support staff's best interests at heart.  We are passionate about developing teachers and supporting education settings to transform the quality of education across Kent and beyond.
