Best Practice Network becomes a Planet Mark Certified Business

Best Practice Network becomes a Planet Mark Certified Business

Best Practice Network is committed to reducing its carbon emissions and impact on the planet. We have been working with Planet Mark to measure and reduce our carbon both as a company and as individuals.

We are proud to announce that we have achieved the Planet Mark Business Certification, furthering our commitment to reduce our impact on climate change and increase our social value. We are also contributing to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The Planet Mark Business Certification is an internationally recognised sustainability certification, acknowledging continuous progress, encouraging action, and building an empowered community of like-minded individuals.

This is an incredible achievement involving the entire business and our supply chain who will continue to play an important role in our sustainability commitment, helping us to have a positive impact on planet and society.

To achieve this sustainability certification, we have followed a robust three-step process:

  • Measuring our impact
  • Engaging everyone in the business
  • Communicating our progress

Best Practice Network have formed an Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) committee who

  • Review and implement ESG activities, and improve education of employees, associates, participants and others we work with via ESG communications
  • Monitor and review current and emerging ESG trends, issues and public debates to ensure the Company’s ESG strategy and policy remains reflective of best practice and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and contractual agreements

The committee are working on projects to reduce our energy usage and increase our social value across different areas of the business. Initiatives have included moving to renewable energy providers, changing to local suppliers and ensuring all staff and key suppliers receive the Real Living Wage. We also reach the wider community with fundraising and volunteering projects.

"Finding balance between growth and sustainability matters. Best Practice Network is committed to cutting carbon emissions and aligned to our vision, help build brighter futures for children. As Chair of the ESG Committee, I am excited to be part of this journey to create positive change"
