Higher Level Teaching Assistant status this year celebrates 10 years of professional development and support for schools. BPN is very proud to have been involved in the training, preparation and assessment of HLTAs since the national roll out in 2004, contributing significantly to the 45,000 plus HLTAs who have gained the status through external verification.
We are delighted that interest in HLTA remains strong. Since central funding stopped, the HLTA National Assessment Partnership of which we are a founding member has collectively assessed more than 1,500 HLTAs, with 2013 seeing the inaugural HLTA of the Year award. The HNAP website provides a range of downloadable resources to celebrate the 10th anniversary and to promote the benefits to support staff and schools of continuing support for HLTA.
National Early Years Teacher Day is back on Wednesday, April 17th and it's a fantastic opportunity to shower our incredible Early Years Teachers with appreciation for the magic they bring to young lives.
We recognise the vital role Mentors play in the success of the Early Career Framework. To celebrate their dedication and contributions to the programme, we have launched 'Mentor of the Month'. This months winner is Mark Richards from the Marches School.
