Outstanding HLTA of the Year 2014 Winner

Outstanding HLTA of the Year 2014 Winner

Congratulations to Azmeena Abdulla from Ashfield Academy, Leicester, who is the national winner of the HLTA of the Year award 2014. The HLTA National Assessment Partnership (HNAP) HLTA of the year award is aimed at teaching assistants who have gained HLTA status and who go above and beyond to demonstrate the vital role which HLTAs play within schools.

Azmeena was the regional winner of the East Midlands award for her inherent focus on student’s abilities as opposed to disabilities, plus having had all of her observed lessons rated as good or outstanding.

She  travelled to London on November 17th along with the other eight regional winners to receive her award and to enjoy a tour of the Houses of Parliament as part of the prize. The awards were presented by Alex Cunningham, MP for Stockton North who sits on the Education Select Committee.

Please look out for nomination and endorsement forms for HLTA of the year 2015, available soon from your Regional Provider of Assessment (RPA) (details of all RPAs available on the HNAP website). Best Practice Network is the HNAP RPA for the South West and West Midlands.
