This course is suitable for those who want to learn more about leadership, and reflect on and plan for their own leadership development. You don't need to have leadership responsibilities to benefit from this training programme.

How is it delivered?
We are looking to work with networks or clusters of schools and local authorities to deliver the ILM L5 Award. If you are part of a network of schools, contact us to arrange a bespoke blended learning group and access face-to-face and online facilitation. The minimum group size is 12.
The programme lasts for approximately 5 months and involves 2.5 days of face-to-face training, 2 tutorials and an assignment of approximately 2000 words.
ILM Level 5 Award in Leadership
You will work achieve the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 5 Award in Leadership. It is a ‘stand-alone’ qualification recognised and respected in all sectors, which will help you:
gain acknowledgement for your skills and talents in the wider world
enhance your application for a Foundation Degree or Honours Degree and for other further education or leadership qualifications
develop your confidence and status across your setting
access other learning and benefits through your student membership of the ILM throughout accreditation period
We will deliver the Level 5 Leadership in your local area for your network of schools and local authorities.
School networks or alliances with several staff wishing to complete the qualification should contact us about bespoke training that can be arranged at a local level and delivered within their setting.
What does it cost?
The cost to networks of schools and local authorities interested in hosting their own programme is £595 + VAT per person with accreditation, or £300 + VAT per person without ILM accreditation. The minimum group size is 12.
How to apply
Please note, individuals currently cannot register for this qualification.
The qualification is provided to groups of applicants through Local Authorities or Teaching School Alliances.
If there is interest within your local area to create a group, please contact the Support Staff Team above, and provide details including a contact for your school or your locality if for us to discuss arrangements.
Ideally, a group should have a minimum of 10-12 people.
